Wake Up To Spring - A Balancing and Revitalising Yoga Workshop

A fusion of yin and flow yoga to melt away the cold, dark winter and welcome in the fresh, light energy of spring.


Join Emily for 45 minutes of yin, 45 minutes of flow and 25 minutes of deep relaxation that will support your mind and body in clearing away the winter energy to make space for the vibrant energy of spring. 

We end the workshop with a shot of ginger to help you feel the zing of spring waking up your senses to celebrate the hope and joy that the new season brings. 

Yin yoga is a practice that offers a beautiful moment of stillness. Each seated or supine pose is held for a few minutes rather than a few breaths which allows time for your body to soften into the pose, helping you to deeply release tension as well as processing your emotions through the fascia system. Your body will be supported with cosy and comfy blankets so that you feel supported throughout. No experience is necessary as all poses are demonstrated and guided with plenty of options for all bodies and abilities. 

Flow yoga is the opposite to yin in it’s energy - yang! Linking a combination of standing and floor based poses with the breath, flow yoga will get your inner fire stoked, your energy flowing and your inspiration switched on. Options will be offered for different levels, and props such as blocks will be available for support. Emily teaches in a way that is mindfulness led and so you will be spending time tuning in and making choices based around what feels good for your own body. 

As we end with deep relaxation, this is when you can reap the rewards of this energy balancing workshop. Tuning in to your intuition, you will allow this time for your body to assimilate the benefits of your yoga practice while energetically clearing away the elements of winter and embracing the brightness of spring.
